Can you be denied employment because you changed your name?

Willie Tun: thanks everyone ;-)

Kimberlee Bowdish: If you have all the documentation of your name change, then no, you cannot be denied unemployment (or anything else for that matter) because you were once Pepsi Cola, and now you're (insert appropriately gendered name) Smith. If you're a woman, it would be the same as getting married and taking your husband's name; you were Jennifer Smith, and now you're Jennifer Jones. Vickie Clampett: No you can't. The applications ask for all names you have you used but they wont hold that against you__________

Pasquale Pollet: why not?

Chanda Wittwer: No, you cannot be denied employment or anything else. Lots of people change their names! It isn't that uncommon.Don't know where you got that id! ea to begin with.
