Explain employment gaps & references?

Hilma Pestano: With the employment gap, I wouldn't be too worried since times are rough for a lot of people. If you did volunteer work, took care of family, or went through training those are plausible reasons for not working.The job references is a little more difficult but again it's hard to blame you. If the store closed well that's the end of that. If managers move on to other places then again that happens. The best you can do is to use anyone who worked with you, even if not a manager as a reference or to direct the interviewer to the human resource department which will verify you worked there...Show more
