Frances Macky: erg. that card is pretty bad. I would save up and at least try to get a 9400GT or even a 9600GT. They will hold there value longer then that piece of ****.
Peter Lapoint: 8400 GS is not very good. It's a step up from a 6150, but it's just not worth the money at all. The 512 MB is a marketing gimmick to make you think it's good. Seconding the 9600 GT is good value for the money, but you should consider ATI, they've slashed prices ridiculously low and you can get a good deal.
Raye Tredennick: The 8400GS isn't a very good card for Gaming. Save up a little more and upgrade to at least a 9600GT. It's still not the best but it is way bette! r for gaming than the 8400GS. I hope this helped.
Coleman Coscia: The Radeon HD 7750 is best in that price range. But I agree, spend a little more and get a Radeon HD 7770 or GeForce GTX 650 instead.
Walter Scordino: The 6150 se is not a graphics card, it's an integrated graphics accelerator. big difference. a stand alone graphics card like the 8400 gs will perform better, but unfortunately not by much. this is an older card and you'd be better suited with either a 9500 or much more preferable the 9600.But you will need to examine your power supply. most computers that come with integrated graphics lack a decent power supply for for one of these stand alone cards.So, buy either the 9500 or 96600, you will be needing to get one anyways. when it comes, see if you can install it in the computer, if your power supply has the necessary 6 pin power plug for the card and it runs fine then you are in good shape, but if you don't have the correct power plug or the powe! r supply refuses to work, then you will need to buy a new powe! r supply also, but you can get to that road when the time comes.Hope this helps...Show more
