Nestor Klan: A cleanse diet refers (usually) to a fast with specific foods, and is designed to "cleanse" your body of toxins. These diets can be very helpful for more than just weight loss, but you should consult your doc. before starting one, as it involves a b! ig cut in calories as well as eating the same food item for several days in a row. A cleanse diet should never go on for more than 1 week (normally) unless directed otherwise by a doctor. The cleanse products that are "all the rage" right now (colon cleanse, suggested use with accai berry) should be avoided. They are different from a cleanse diet, and are unhealthy. One of my friends tried it and had a Grand Mal seizure. He had no previous history....Show more

Alexander Villas: I was reading that it's best to consume the same amount of water every single day, and that the average amount is 8 glasses. This works fine for me during the week when I'm at the office with a water cooler, and near a restroom. But what about when I'm running around all weekend? I don't always have access to that much water, or to a bathroom when I'm not in the same place all day.Any advice?...Show more
Kiersten Clayburn: You're right that drinking 8 glasses a day is a general guideline for properly hydrating your body. If you are not used to drinking this much water, in the first few days of the new drinking habit you will have to run to the bathroom maybe more often, but after a while, the body will naturally condition itself such that you will get used to drinking that amount of water and won't have to use the bathroom as much anyway; the body will simply become accustomed to absorbing more fl! uid. On the weekends, carry a water bottle with you, and take with you everywhere you go so that you can drink and refill as needed in that facility's water fountain. There are restrooms everywhere, so even if you're not in the same place everyday, it's pretty likely that every place you go will have bathroom facilities. So no worries, drink up!...Show more

Alexander Villas: He's a salsemen, so most of what he said is bull. However, most people I meet- are clueless about weight loss, and I mean clueless to the point that they are going to hurt themselves- same goes for hypertrophy or strength training- or even cardio!
Florencio Dingle: I went with my friend to get a feel for the place and see the different price packages. We had no intention of actually purchasing one right now, just wanted to know how much it would be. He kept pushing us to buy and had this real irritating air of superiority because he worked there. He got all annoyed by us when we told him we were just inquiring about prices and not going to join yet. H! e also said we should buy this $150 3-session personal trainer package ! because he said we didn't know how to exercise and we weren't going to lose weight without it. Even though I told him multiple times that I was a member of another gym. Is this true or was he just trying to get over on us? I don't have money for the package, but I do want to lose weight. Also, what should I say for him to not come on too strongly when I go in there next time to really join?...Show more

Jammie Taddei: These desk people are salesmen. Think of them as car salesmen. They are trained as follows. They ask you your goal. They seek to know your weaknesses. Then, they dwell on those becoming more and more aggessive. I laugh at them. I was trained in sales also. I know about openings, body language, closings. Go to another gym. Join a community center.
