What the latest forecasts indicate for the southeastern U.S. during the summer (June-August) is basically equal chances for it to turn out above, near, or below normal temperature-wise. So even though it could turn out "mild" it will still likely be quite humid and quite warm, typical summer conditions for that area. The forecast is based on recent trends and observed conditions in the atmosphere and oceans.
