Is bestbuy decent for installing car audio stuff?

Patricia Dornbos: id say go to any car garage they'll do it for cheap ad if u jus have subs ur gunna need a amp to push ur subs out

Percy Seiger: Look on the internet and do it yourself. Save some cash. If you want to bestbuy will do it but it will cost ya. Or go to an audio shop but they charge just like bestbuy, so unless you know someone there, just do it yourself. Take the time to read and get some knowledge. That way you can be sure its going to work and feel like you did something to your own car and not someone else.

Leisa Brodnex: yea, they are both professional, they use a similar faceplates and wireing harnesses because the audio shops. plus they're going to guarentee their artwork or perhaps placed the production unit radio decrease back in for free in case you ever promote your motor vehicle. in spite of the indisputable fact that, some small motor vehicle audio shops will placed your stereo in for far less then $40 so examine round first. examine ! your telephone e book for community motor vehicle audio shops....Show more

Ruthe Real: Best Buy is TERRIBLE, I had my stuff hooked up at one is St Louis Missouri, and the morons didn't even know how to run a ground wire. And to boot they wouldn't fix it. I cannot stand them now. Everyone else is right, your best bet is your local place, but Circuit City is also not that bad from experiances my friends have had with them.

Delmer Pectol: go to a circuit city. they know their stuff alot better and it only costs like $65 if you have everything you need (amp, subs, kit, caps, etc...)

Filiberto Amauty: Best buy is probably going to charge you a arm and a leg cause they charge for every little thing cabels adapter then on top of that labor. Go to the nearest auto shop or if in ny ill do it for you been doing car and audio installs for over 10 years.

Abby Herwood: I agree with Nick S. down there. TRY to do it yourself. Find out what you need to power up you! r amp. For this, you need a amp wireing kit. An amp kit has ev! erything you need (most of the time). It should include the following: Power cable, Remote wire, RCA cables, and a ground wire. Some kits even come with the speaker wire you need...some don't. Mine didn't, I had to buy it separate. Be sure to pay attention to the wattage rateing the kit is set at. For example...I have a amp powering kit made by Monster Cable, which is rated at 675 watts maximum. My amp its self is 580 watts max. Therefor, nothing that came with the kit, is being over powered. The higher the max power of your amp is, the thicker the power wire needs to be. The gauge I use, is a 8 gauge wire. You could have Best Buy install your set up for you. It won't be cheap...it will be a couple-a-hundred bucks. Besides...if you don't install it, then you won't familiarize yourself with your system. If something goes wrong, you won't know where to look for the possible cause. Doing your own install helps out with this. You can learn, while haveing fun. Don't forget to ! HIDE all your wireing. This can be easy...this can be EXTREAMLY hard. For me..it was rather easy..as I have a little Nissan Sentra..there's nothing to these little cars. Have confidence and faith in yourself. You will simply love your vehical even more, after you do your own install. Pride for yourself. And even more pride in your vehical. I wish you luck on your desision!...Show more

Toney Flaten: The best place I would go is to your local car audio shop. I say that because they deal only with that. I mean you could go to best buy, but a car audio shop is just my opinion.

Armando Somes: I hate Bestbuy personaly. They treat you like they are better than you and just don't care about the sound that your system produces (I used to deal with them but now Circuit City is my company of choice). CC will charge 65 bucks to install your amp and sub. If you have RCA's on your radio then I think this is the best way to go. CC will garantte the install and if you have issu! es with it (sub stops working or you need your gains adjusted they will! do it for free). I like CC they are your best bet Good Luck...Show more
