Michal Semple: I don't think handhelds ARE the future of gaming. As the guy above me said, I think they will continue to work along side consoles until something better happens.
Mark Hovanes: I think handhelds have there place along side consoles but when virtual head gear for real life simulated gaming is made all will go. Out the window
Bethany Blocker: I think that consoles will be here for a while, they are easy and soo many people are into them right now. And since there are so many different genres they are becoming popular with people who didn't play them before. The thing about handheld is they are great for kids, with many of the games suited for everyone, and also that they are great for travelling and generally busy people who don't play games for a long time. I think phone games are the biggest threat to consoles, since everyone like them so much and plays at least one. But we will always have some sort of home system. Handheld don't always sell so! well and they still haven't been able to match consoles for deep gameplay and mechanics. I think if they can get a handheld that can actually match a console in power and memory, and then you can plug it into your TV and it becomes a console anyway, then they will be the future...Show more
