Home school all of High School?

Stanton Degregorio: try to get into high school. You will have way more social and educational opportunities.

Emile Midgley: I find it extremely hard to believe that there is a law that says you cannot "transfer" credits from home school to high school. Check with the Home School Legal Defense Association they will be able to tell you if that is a law in the state and if not, they can assist you in getting enrolled into a high school if that is what you wish.I have home-schooled my son since 5th grade. He is now in the 10th grade. He is home-schooling for the right reasons. An answer here says "go to public school more sports, etc..." That is not the reason for going to any educational facility. It is to be the best you can be. Your decision to enter into the school system vs. home school should be for the right reasons ONLY. Not "Well, I will be able to play sports" or "I will be able to go to dances." You need to decide (with the help of your parents! ) what it is you want out of your education. If you want the easy way out -- then go into the public school system. I would put any home-schooled high school student up against any public school student of the same grade. You see, in order to be successful in home school you must be self disciplined and want to learn all you can. Home school kids go on to wonderful colleges, the military and military schools....Show more

Jeff Frizzell: I was home schooled through high school. My brother transferred into the public school system during his sophomore year to play football. In Texas, home schools are legally considered private schools. The teacher/tutor/co-op leader can create a transcript for the core courses. If you don't have this, try taking a placement test offered by schools, psychological/counseling clinics or local testing centers. This is the school my brother and I used, out of Washington State. Rather Christian (we're Jewish), but adequately prepared! us for college. We graduated successfully and are now in doc! toral programs.http://www.hewitthomeschooling.com/home/hmain.asp?......Show more

Andre Winegar: Does your college present choice levels? Sometimes they will present credit score for impartial paintings (or even present tutoring) so long as you'll be able to turn out you'll be able to grasp the coursework--then you'll be able to get your measure out of your top college instead than online. But you probably have your center set on getting your measure online, I'd perform a little severe study on it. I might even ask your college counselors in the event that they realize of any well choices. (Google top college on-line measure methods.) When you appear into man or woman methods, be certain they're permitted!! Once you get your information in combination, gift them on your moms and dads and possibly they are going to think this is a higher choice for you additionally. The main factor is that you do not drop out. You relatively ought to get your top college degree, specifi! cally being so near. Good good fortune to you--my center aches for you and all children who're additionally impartial & rough-running, however don't seem to be comfy within the public colleges. It simply does not appear reasonable! Best wants it doesn't matter what you make a decision!...Show more

Pearlie Medora: You most certainly CAN transfer from homeschool to public high school. Wherever you heard otherwise is absolutely INCORRECT.
