Had taught or has taught? Whats the difference? Thanks ?

Filiberto Amauty: Has is present tense (also something that classifies something that happened in the past that is currently continuing (Jack has been teaching me a lot since last year)).Had is past tense.Neither of these are entirely correct. It should be "Jack taught me a lot last year."
