Lorine Helwick: All of the series 2 and higher will do this. The older Series 1 won't, but the series 2 has been out for several years now.Note to Dr Evil: The series 1's don't have a network or usb jack, there is no way to network them. Your unit just about has to be a series2.
Hyman Coren: yes, if you have two tivo's say one in living room one in bedroom you can transfer one show/movie to the other one. Go to the tivo central> now playing menu. I have that same set up, one is HD series 3 and other is SD series 1 tivo. All you have to do is set up account at www.tivo.com and make a user account, make sure you register both your tivo's to the same account and that should do it. This is all off the top of my head so there maybe another step, O and both must have internet hooked up to them for this to work. no phone line! another option i recommend is the tivo desktop. Tivo out did themselves with that many more options with your recordings and you can watch ! your shows on your pc/laptop anywhere. GREAT!! And with alittle work you can reconvert shows so they can be burned to a DVD. Hope this helps...Show more
