Home Schooling?

May Stands: There seems to a little apprehension in the home school program -- especially on your parents. Do you have a job to pay for the schooling??? Will your parents be arrested if you do not attend public school??? Why don't you finish the year and start this summer in home schooling. Lets look at the big picture your in the 8 th grade --- 13 years old. Do you have friends that are home schooled or do they all attend public school?? If you are that smart?? why did you not skip the 8th grade and go directly to the 9th. Kids that are smart have already graduated university by the time they are 14 years old. When do you enroll in university classes? Maybe when you look at the big picture you are not that smart --- and continue your education in public school... Remember there are no classmates -- no basketball games to attend -- no football. No social events like the Junior/Senior prom... Your parents will make sure that you are at home while they! are at the job... I guess if your parents are bad teachers like the ones in school. The next step would be to run away and join the circus......Show more

Cedric Grimstead: I am also open to online homeschooling, but need to know more about it.

Ayesha Genova: well i dont know about canada, but in CA we have homeschools where teachers come to you once a week.you should try to find out if there are some programs like that over there.

Hubert Jestes: Also, I'm in grade 8, and have completed grade 7, I am smart, but had lots of trouble with my teacher, and i'm not open to anything besides home schooling...

Gregory Dilg: I've already answered one person with this type of question, might as well go for two. hah.I do Keystone Highschool. This is an international course, considering there are kids enrolled in the same class as me that live in like Dubai and India and stuff. Their American and such but they live in another country. I'm not EXACTLY sure if yo! u would be able to.But it's worth a look into. I love it. It c! an be kind of difficult, considering it's ONline which means you have to teach yourself practically everything. but if your responsible it won't be that big of a deal. But it frees up a lot of wasted time. I usually only spend about 3 hours a day on school. Which isn't that much so I'm happy. And it gives me a lot of extra time to go hang out with friends and stuff. But another hang up is that I believe its only 9-12...Show more

Raelene Cunnick: I know a lot about it, but i need links to the actually registration, and the whole 'deal' about the 'online' thing.

Kalyn Proietto: Well books will cost you around $1000 in the U.S. It's pretty expensive, and if you're parents can't teach you, America has satellite homschooling, which is more expensive but, you turn on the tv and watch the teacher on the tv lecture on the subject you're taking. Don't be discouraged though by the amounts!
