What other tricks to teach your dog?

Paul Maymi: Play dead, walk on two legs.

Edwina Fu: how about commands? if you have sit and down, try stay, wait, recall (come). Leave it (really important if they're chewing on something that could be dangerous). Heal, sit/down from a distance.most people love to teach their new dogs tricks because it's cute, but it's really important to start with the basics. It's what the dog needs, and you can teach the tricks after. No it's not as impressive to show friends, but at least you won't have them getting hit by a car because they wouldn't come when you called...Show more

Rachal Osaki: 1

Saran Stealy: a reliable recall (come) and stay are very important. Other fun things, shaking their head, crossing paws, leg weaves, your feet on mine (cop cop)

Robt Betker: Walk on hind legsAgilityRoll-OverFetchGo Get ______(anything!)StayBarkGo get in your crateHunt(My Word For Potty)Fly BallThe real thing is what breed is it? Cause it can really vary with breed o! n what tricks are easy and hard and impossible!...Show more

Roni Kurz: I'm doing basic obedience right now. My trainer hasn't once handled my dog. He has shown me how to handle my dog by using his own dog but that's about it. The reasoning is that I need to learn how to do these basic corrections and what not myself. Learn more https://tr.im/aKHLv I have never considered sending my dog away for training. I guess I haven't found that much of a problem with him to even think about it. Again, it may also have to do with the level of training you are looking for etc. No idea lol. I'm not a trainer. I think a first time dog owner needs to learn simple commands and how to handle their dog themselves as well....Show more

Dexter Dingus: Beg, roll over, stay, kennel up, heel, drop, take, leave it, wait, fetch. If you want to get more showy dance, speak, spin, and even flip. Not all dogs are able to do a dance or flip those are mostly for small light weight dogs. Hope thi! s helps.

Kenneth Queener: Can I say something? I taught ! my 4yo yorkie Bison to be more relaxed when im away in just 4 days. It was easy. My secret system is the Dog discipline magic system found on google.

Marcia Cheathan: fetchdrop itbark(and when not to)stay comeroll over...Show more

Jacinta Moitoso: play dead, use toilet, guard, roll, play with Frisbee, pee and poop outside, go through hula hoops, race, high five.

Granville Stray: Recall

Alexis Reyer: Well actually, you only taught 2 tricks..paw and jump. Sit and down are basic obedience. Also included in basic obedience is off (anything to do with feet), leave it (anything to do with mouth), stay, come, wait, place, watch me. And if your dog is a pup, you begin recall and heel..but you shouldn't expect perfection as puppies have a shorter attention span. If you do basic obedience with your dog, you will accomplish 2 goals at the same time. First, a well behaved dog.In general, a dog who has had obedience training and ongoing reinforcement will lik! ely be easier to have around..and if you want to teach tricks..you need the basics because many tricks are layered over basic obedience. For instance if you want to teach rollover, your dog should first understand the down command. You can look online for some pointers/ideas on tricks..there are probably some trick training classes you could find. When my training group decided to do trick training for fun, the most requested tricks were as follows: Roll overClean up ...(if your dog will bring you back a thrown ball, you can have him drop it in a basket)Weaving through your legsspeak on commandspin clockwise and counter clockwisesit up/begOnce you know a few, you can begin to layer them into pretty complex actions. I taught my dog to fetch...and then to drop a toy into a basket, then to bring me the basket. Finally put it all together and had him bring me the empty basket and sit for a treat to be put into the basket....There you go..now my dog knows how to "trick or tr! eat".Have fun!...Show more

Verdie Wollen: fetch, stay, speak, hea! l

Cody Shimko: There's no limit to what you can teach your dog!! Teach him handstand! Look it up on YouTube
