Gerardo Greist: Your first step is to fill out the FAFSA, then your schools financial aid office will figure out what you are eligible for. PELL grant is up to $5550 a year but that varies per student, situation, enrollement. There are also other programs and grants out there you may be awarded. Not to mention work study, loans etc. Best to fill out the FAFSA and check with your school
Mark Villifana: Financial aid is based on a wide variety of factors. Fill out the FAFSA and wait for your award letter from your school. You will probably qualify for need-based aid such as the pell grant. You may also qualify for need-based aid from your state and/or university. There is no way to know exactly until you apply.
